In 2010, a neighborhood initiative in New York City secured the necessary funding to start this project. What began by turning the roof of a Brooklyn warehouse into a fantastic urban community garden, today has more than 10,000 m2 of rooftop crops in Brooklyn and Queens (New York).
They can generate about 22 tons of vegetables per year, which they sell directly to consumers or to local restaurants. They also have chickens and an apiary (a set of hives), in addition to conducting visits and workshops. They even celebrate weddings.
