Lavender lemonade to treat anxiety and headaches

Lavender oil has a complex chemical structure with more than 150 active components, which explains its effectiveness in helping a large number of ailments. Lavender oil has an incredible anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antispasmodic, analgesic, detoxifying, hypotensive, as well as sedative properties.

Florida researchers have found benefits of lavender oil that include reducing anxiety. In hospital settings, lavender aromatherapy has been shown to be beneficial in reducing pre-operative distress, more relaxing than massage or simply rest.

Lavender essential oil also has medicinal properties. It has been shown to help reduce depression, improve insomnia, and ease labor pains. Lavender oil is effective against headaches, hangovers, sinusitis or congestion.

Lavender aromatherapy, with or without massage, may also reduce the perception of pain and the need for conventional pain relievers in adults and children, although research is still ongoing on this issue.

Today we propose an alternative to take advantage of all the benefits of lavender to combat headaches and treat anxiety: lavender lemonade.
